Goals For My Future Children
My number one goal for my future children is for them to be the best person they can be and to always believe in themselves. I want them to grow up learning the important value of family and set a good and valuable set of morals. I want them to be successful in everything they do. I want them to know how much I love them each day and that I am their biggest supporter. Even if they fail at something, I want them to never give up and always keep trying. It is important for my children to learn (even at an early age) that there is a difference between right and wrong and the consequences for each action. I want them to always stick with their Christian morals and values that I will instill in them. I also want my children to experience and learn the meaning of both happiness and love. I want them to find happiness in all that they accomplish and do. I do not want them to ever find themselves stuck doing something that makes them miserable. Happiness is such a wonderful and rewarding feeling. I want my children to always feel loved, and most importantly share their love, not only to the people who are the most special to them, but to everyone around them. Through finding love and happiness, I hope my children will glorify God in there everyday actions. I also hope that my children find a good, successful job that they love and enjoy. It is important that they have fun and enjoy their career. It is also important for my children to be well education and able to make a living for themselves and their future families. I also want my children to keep God and their families as the most important parts of their lives.
What Are You Grateful For?
First off I am very grateful for the wonderful life and family that God has blessed me with. I would not be the person that I am today without all that He has given me or the support of my amazing parents. My parents are the ones who have molded me into the person that I am today and have taught me how to be the best person that I can be. I am also very grateful for the support and relationship that I have with my friends. My friends are always there for me not matter what and refuse to give up on me. THey encourage me to do my best in all situations and help me to never lose sight on what is most important in life. I hope to instill in my future children the same ideas of gratefulness and hope they appreciate everything that they have as I do now. Faith in God is important, but being thankful for what He has given me is even greater. I have been blessed and provided with many great opportunities in my life, as well as life, love, friendship, and happiness.
Parents Overcoming Difficulties
In class we watched a short film about Dick and Rick Hoyt. The story amazed me because of the dedication Dick, as the father, had in order to make his son, Rick, feel as if he was a normal child without any disabilities. He knew that his son would continue to live longer than the doctors had given him and wanted to raise him through his childhood just like every one of his other children were brought up. Dick also is an inspiration to me because of the numerous sacrifices he made in order to achieve his son's happiness. He knew that no matter how much running, swimming, biking, etc. he would have to do, he would continue to do it in order to bring Rick joy. It did not matter how much physical pain he underwent during training - he was determined to accomplish it all for his son. His display of tremendous dedication as a parent through sacrificing so much brings me inspiration and hope for when I have children of my own some day. I hope that one day I will be able to sacrifice for children and understand the bigger picture in life. I want to be just as dedicated to my children as Dick is.
